BYBLOS MILANO AND THE SURREAL ALICE IN FLOWERLAND MFW
Blurring the distinction between sweet dreams and reality, Byblos creates a floral style mixed with a dark version of Alice in Wonderland; the absolute darling look of natural rosy cheeks, pink lips, soft golden waves and brown eye shadow paired with a gothic rockish sports style and a slight mix of the 70’s era.
Psychedelic floral patterns shown in different dimensions and materials, peplum shapes on skirts and dresses mixed with a cheerleader/sports style. Maxi skirts, flowy dresses, long sleeved circled prints, large flares and fluid dresses are hints of the 70’s sexiness we saw at Byblos.
Ruffles, loaded fringes and the double cutting of the dresses were my favorite characteristics of the show.
But to conclude, the contrast of the materials was probably the most eyecatching ; the half tubular shape half ruffles, half pleats and half fringes with thin ruffles are a must have piece for next season ( or at least my must have).
