Lucio Vanotti Show, MFW FW 2016/17
This season Lucio Vanotti takes on a unique and quiet approach to fashion. Inspired by military styles pragmatism and functionality, he purifying and subtracts, taking simplicity to its core.
“ The uniform concept- an idea of functional modular dress-becomes an act of soft rebellion against the urgency to show off, replacing it by thoughtful presence of being oneself ”.
Everything is in the details; layers upon layers, extra long sleeves, lines are accentuated in horizontally and vertically on jackets, vests, pants and suits. Pinstriped tracksuits, pajama velour suits, long blouses and bathrobe coats are key elements of the collection as well as long tunics, boots with slipper soles and an array of coats with loose volumes.
Strong hues of navy blues, taupe, rust, white and black are the main color palettes
Materials are wool, corduroy, cotton, fleece and some velour
The models hair are severely tied back in a low -mid rise silky straight ponytail with light matt makeup showing more emphasis on the uniforms creativity rather than the characters going in alignment with the concept of Vanotti’s uniform.
