SS18 MFW Gives Tribute to the World of Art
Here are some designers this season that were notably relevant to experimenting with a different way of looking at art during MFW:
Vionnet SS18 Runway
A silver hooped earring was a common trend, alongside rectangular pointed mid heel shoes with a large black ankle straps, a ‘must have’ for next season, which was paired up with the casual but effortlessly chic layering of white ruffled or pleated blouses, high wasted belts and styled sports trousers.

We also saw embellishments on dresses, diamond shaped skirts and high neck collars. Miro’s art work really shined through with the Kaleidoscopic black and white designs, primary colors and geometric patterns. Still keeping to their identity with the crisp white shirts they are remembered for, we saw a collection tailored for the bold woman ahead of time but still young and experimental in style.
There’s life in Miro’s paint work, each brush stroke tells a story, and this was brought out on the catwalk. Miro insisted his soul, his art all rooted in Catalonia, and given the events that have taken place there recently, it signatures their catwalk off nicely.
The fashion industry is no stranger to the art world. The question is whether real art will be replaced or merged with digital art?
